A plain-language
privacy notice.
Sprinks Writes collects only the information needed to operate the website, respond to messages, moderate community contributions and publish material you deliberately submit.
Information you choose to provide
- Contact-form text is used to prepare an email in your own email application; the website does not send or retain that message.
- Tavern topics, replies, reports, display names and artwork are stored so they can be reviewed and, if approved, displayed.
- Uploaded artwork files are stored with the submitted title, description, display name and moderation information.
- Basic technical information may be processed temporarily for security, abuse prevention, rate limiting and hosting logs.
The Tavern does not currently require an email address. Newsletter subscriptions happen on Substack rather than directly on Sprinks Writes.
Why information is used
Information is used to provide the feature you requested, maintain community safety, investigate reports, prevent abuse, answer requests and operate the site. Public contributions are reviewed before publication. They are not used for automated profiling or sold to advertisers.
Pending or rejected contributions should be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for moderation, security and dispute handling. Published material remains until it is removed, archived or no longer needed.
Services involved
Vercel hosts the website. Supabase stores managed site content, community records and uploaded media. Amazon handles book purchases, and Substack handles newsletter subscriptions when you follow those external links. Those services process information under their own privacy terms and may process data outside the European Economic Area using their stated safeguards.
Your choices and rights
You may ask what personal information is held about you, request a correction or deletion, withdraw a display permission, or object to certain processing by emailing joshuasprinks@gmail.com. Identity may need to be reasonably verified before a request is completed. You may also contact the relevant data-protection authority if you believe your rights have not been respected.
This notice should be reviewed by a qualified Italian or EU privacy professional before production if legal assurance is required.
